Getting Started: How to Become a VIPS
To volunteer on campus during school hours, the Long Beach Unified School District (LBUSD) requires all volunteers to complete the VIPS application process:

Complete the VIPS Application: Fill out the application form available on the LBUSD website.

TB Clearance: Provide proof of a negative tuberculosis (TB) test taken within the last 60 days. Alternatively, a TB Risk Assessment Questionnaire completed by a licensed healthcare provider is acceptable

Submit Your Application: Turn in your completed application and TB clearance to the school office.

Await Approval: Once your application is processed and approved, you'll receive notification and can begin volunteering.
